Welcome!

Mission Statement (working draft)

The mission of the LDS FMN is to encourage Latter-day Saints with interests in filmmaking and media production to employ their gifts and talents in telling the story of our Lord Jesus Christ, especially (but not exclusively) for the time frame which is unique to Latter-day Saints (1830 to the present). It is to encourage the production of such stories that are in complete harmony with the focus and direction of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is to encourage full activity and participation in the LDS Church, thus giving an even greater depth, significance, and perspective in our story telling capabilities.

Never has there ever been a greater interest in the pecilur nature of LDS lifestyle and way of living and it is up to us as practicing, faithful Latter-day Saints to tell our own stories, and the stories of all of those saints who have come before us. Ultimately it is up to us to tell the true story of our Lord in modern times, because this Church and its people are lead by Him. The stories that we ought to be telling are of our discipleship to the Lord Jesus Christ.
